Canada brushes off it's tweed HBC sports coat and starts making sales
Hello Everyone,
Is this what it feels like when Canada finally clicks with the bike? Not like we couldn’t pedal before, just that magic moment when you realize the thing actually wants to stay upright.
Balance isn’t a miracle, it’s physics. And once you get it, you never forget.
The same is true for the international market. Our customers want us to stay upright, and while they’re busy picking riders to root for in this global race, Canada’s suddenly looking a lot steadier in some red-plaid bike tights, astride what may or may not have been a Sears Catalogue special from the ’90s. (Or was that Consumers Distributing? Remember them? )
The point is, we’ve always known how to sell to faraway customers, from the Yukon to the Prairies we’ve proven that. The difference today is that “faraway” now means something more: the UK, Africa, Asia and beyond. And guess what? We’ve still got it.
Like that old sports coat in the closet we’ve still got the swagger, the presence, and(!) as our Latvian Billet likes to describe his game play… the aura.
The Bank of Canada’s rate drop, fresh investments landing, Indigenous-led energy projects scoring wins, and gold and copper finds stretching from Yukon to Quebec, it’s all momentum. The bike isn’t wobbling anymore. We’re pedaling forward, finding our rhythm, and looking up at the horizon.
It feels… hopeful. For the first time in a while, cautiously optimistic even.
It’s not just the leaves that are starting to turn here in Canada…

Game day this Sunday, two home games back to back against a team from Rochester. Let’s go OHO.
Quick correction from the last edition, in Dispatch 106, I mislabeled a September 2023 Nano One release as current. The link went to a 404 page and the item shouldn’t have run at all. The web version has been updated. And yes — it’s seriously 2025 already?
Where did the last five years go? Enjoy the last full weekend of Summer everyone.
