On Feb 2nd, 1996 the price of gold peaked @ $415 USD per ounce, calculated for inflation that's ~$830 in 2024 money, and fell to $225/ounce ($425 in 2024 money) in August of 1998.

Good thing I was spending my allowance money back then on video games and Easton Aluminium hockey sticks or I'd have a bunch of old dingy looking bars of gold... I am curious though, some items in my now vintage collection have appreciated, maybe it’s time to offload some items and convert them into gold.

How long until we hit $3000 USD? Hit reply, tell me when you think it will break 3k USD and the closest to that date will get something cool mailed to them.
